At 53, Leanne started blogging about authenticity, positivity, simplicity, gratitude, and finding our voice again in Midlife. Then life took a radical turn when, at 57, she resigned from a toxic workplace, and decided to leave the 9-5 behind and embrace early retirement. Her blog was the perfect place to work through the transition from long term employment to being at home full-time. She advocates for an “Unbusy” retirement – one that is all about “being” rather than constantly “doing” – and finding joy in the flexibility and freedom of living life on our own terms.

An award-winning artist and author, Tech Savvy Senior Sheila Finkelstein, is an 81-year-old grandmother whose “kids” (educators and business people) often come to her for “how-to’s.” As a former teacher and current life coach, Sheila has had years of experience in honing her communication skills. She now uses them to support boomers and seniors in having fun while learning how to thrive in the age of technology.

Many people, when looking at their computers, smart phones, or tablets, feel overwhelmed and out-of-touch about how to navigate in what feels like “foreign” territory and the need to learn a whole new language. Her goal is that boomers and seniors also find the path of technology to be an easy and exciting journey…that they never need to feel isolated.

Durgamata of London

Coming from a farming and Quaker background, DurgaMata married a Bengali and discovered a global identity which embraces thought and wisdom from every corner of the globe. She has been practicing meditation for over 40 years – a student of Sri Chinmoy – who named her DurgaMata.

After retiring from teaching, DurgaMata started experimenting with ways in which she could share the joyful energy of her meditation with others to reduce stress and increase happiness.  Silk-Paintng Workshops and Playing the Pipe and Tabor developed together. Public Speaking and Authorship followed. Then came her unique Seven Steps to Happiness Programme.

John Orian

John has decades of experience in Project Management and Strategic Planning for large organizations, he ran his own solo side gig serving operation within municipal givernment with custom built software, AND he taught at college and university.

John retired early knowing he’d have to re-engage to pay his way in retirement.

Bob Levin

Bob started working on computers in 1973, when a computer took up walls of space, and he’s been at the forefront of everything corporations (and all of us) take for granted today: hardware, software, networking, internet.

After a career in corporate tech support, first traveling around with a big toolkit fixing almost anything and everything and then as a tech trainer, in 1998 Bob decided to start his own company.  He offered local consulting, keeping company computers running, working on servers and software, and web hosting.

More recently, he was part of a beta team testing a membership SAAS, and offered training to his followers.

Needless to say, he’s more than qualified to talk about computer security, password management, computer backups and cloud storage!
